What To Expect At Each Gathering

Morning Worship - Sunday 10:30 am

Sunday morning is a blend of thankfulness and contemplation as we worship the Lord together. We see worship as a person’s response to what God reveals about himself through his Word and by his Spirit. That means everything we do should be done for the purpose of bringing Him glory for He alone is worthy.

Our morning service includes Scripture reading, prayer, singing, and the teaching from the Bible.
The sermons at Bethany are primarily expositional, meaning we systematically teach through books and letters of the Bible highlighting the meaning of the passage. We desire to emphasize "what does the Bible say" and not "what can we say about the Bible." The meaning of the text is the point of the sermon. Our pastors seek to understand the original intent of the passage, and teach how those principles can and should impact our lives today.

The message usually lasts about 40-45 minutes, with the morning service dismissing around 11:45 am.

Sunday Night Meetings - 6 pm

Our Sunday evening meetings are more of a family time as we gather. These take on a variety of formats but include a time of Biblical instruction and encouragement.

Adult Bible Studies allow our members to choose a topic of instruction that interests them, while Sunday School for the children provides age appropriate classes for a foundation for Biblical worldview.

Family Meetings take on various formats but is a venue for all ages to be together for a time of singing, instruction, and encouragement. Sometimes missionary partners will join us to give updates from their ministry opportunities from around the world.

You can check the church calendar to see what is scheduled for a specific Sunday evening.

Sunday Night Meetings are usually finished by 7 pm.

Wednesday Midweek Meetings & Prayer Time (Sept. through May) - 6:30 pm

Children's Bible Clubs for ages 3 through 6th grade provide times for Bible memory, teaching, activity, and application for life.

Youth Group meets together in their teen room for a time of singing, testimonies, and an activity. This is for 7th-12th grade students.

Adults meet in the auditorium for a time of interactive review and application from Sunday's message, and a time of prayer together for the needs of our church family.

The Wednesday Midweek meeting finishes at 7:30 pm.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

Dress however you like. The attire on Sundays is a reflection of our diversity. Typically there is a mixture between casual, dress casual, and business casual for Sunday worship, and more relaxed attire other times that the church meets.

Where do I go when I arrive?

We have parking spaces close to the building reserved for guests, and someone will greet you when you come through the doors. Feel free to sit anywhere in the auditorium. There are no reserved seats. And if we are near capacity, an usher will help you find a place to sit.

What kind of music do you sing?

We love to sing both old and new songs and melodies, choosing hymns, songs, and choruses based on their doctrinal accuracy and singability. We emphasize congregational singing which allows everyone to sing praise to God with one voice. We view the music ministry of a church as a God-given way of teaching and admonishing one another. We love to sing!

Do you offer child care?

We offer a nursery through age 2 for all of our services and meetings. The infant and toddler nurseries are located downstairs. A greeter can show you the way and help your child get checked in. For Sunday morning worship, age 3 through 3rd grade begin in the auditorium with their parents for the congregational singing, and then are dismissed to Primary Church and Junior Church. All of our children’s workers are members of our church, carefully screened, and go through a background check before they are permitted to interact with children in an official capacity.

Is your facility handicapped friendly?

Yes.
